I am Melissa

Hi there!

I have always loved capturing life’s precious moments. I believe that there is no greater form of artistic expression than to immortalize the human spirit through photography. My name is Melissa and I am the owner of Mimi Beau Photography.

Born and raised in the mitten, I live in the lovely Flint suburb of Grand Blanc. When I am not behind the camera, I am busy spending time with my husband Dave and my five incredible children, Jaclyn, Madelyn, Brandon, Emma and Derek. And let’s not forget our two very spoiled dogs, Riley and Molly.

After years of taking pictures of friends and family, I began to seriously explore the possibility of starting my own business. In February of 2021, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a long-fought battle, I defeated cancer. Along, with survivorship came the strongest determination to live each moment to the fullest. And so, Mimi Beau was born.
